The Pub
Little Martha Brewing was started in 2020 by three friends – Ed, George and Pelin, and we first opened the doors to our brewpub in December 2021. We’d shared a dream for a long time of having our own venue, and finding the railway arch that is now our home was the lightbulb moment that set us on the road to open Little Martha. We aimed to turn the arch into a cosy, welcoming space for anyone to come in and enjoy good drinks and good company.
The Beers
We brew all of our beer on site at the arch, producing a range of different styles. Our aim is always to brew full flavoured yet sessionable beers, and to produce the beers we want to drink! Alongside our own brews we serve an ever-changing selection of our favourite guest beers from near and far.
The Name
On July 2 1959, Marfusha, or ‘Little Martha’ became the first rabbit in space. Along with her companions Otvazhnaya (Brave) and Snezhinka (Snowflake), Little Martha was launched into a suborbital trip on a Soviet R2-A rocket before returning safely to Earth. Fast forward to 2021 and she became the inspiration for our brewery name and brand!
